Does Samsung even know how repair videos and websites are a whole industry
now? Mostly for design flaw issues.

Marvin Fine says:

I did as you had suggested. When I hit the rest button, which was hard to
find, several cubes dropped out. I guess it was clogged. It seems to be
working now. Great job, and thank you. Marvin

luis ange says:

we have the fridge that makes ice on the bottom! It doesn’t make ice
anymore

Ankur Patel says:

What low quality crap. Our Ice Off indicator won’t turn off. It turns out
the control board has to be replaced again. We are on control board #3 now
and Ice Maker #2 and damper #2…

Jon Aparo says:

My ice maker hardly makes any ice. It seems to work, but after it produces
a few trays, ceases to drop any more. is there a sensor that measures how
much ice it made that I can reset or adjust?

Tim Templeton says:

My ice tray fills with water, freezes about 50% and then drops the ice in
the tray. The remaining unfrozen water freezes, creating a jagged block of
ice that encases and locks the metal spiral. This is a replacement ice
maker I put in after the first did the same thing, so I’m guessing it’s a
timing circuitry failure. I’ve tried lowering the temperature but that
doesn’t work. Any suggestions?

Wzystko Cokham says:

Samsung has a REAL PROBLEM HERE!!! They should start by selling these
refrigerators to Eskimos. Cause they Don’t Need Ice!!! Problem solved!
Dopes!!!

jose rodriguez says:

Thanks I didn’t know about this resetting button after a week trying to
find out what was wrong with my Samsung ice maker but now it’s working
again I never knew why it stops making ice thank you it was very helpful.

doug solomon says:

I tried both of the fixes mentioned in this video and the ice maker does
still not seem to be working. What’s next Samsung?

Jim Vielbig says:

My 15 month old Samsung ice-in-door ice maker stopped producing ice a week
ago. After resetting three times, and unplugging the fridge per the
Customer Service agent without success, I was frustrated and ready to call
for service. I decided to try one last thing…fill the ice tray manually,
just about 4 – 5 ounces is all it took. Four hours later, ice ejected. 24
hours later, half a door full of ice! Woo Hoo!, saved $200 – $500 in
repairs, and now I don’t hate my fridge anymore.

Wzystko Cokham says:

TO DO ALL THESE STEPS OVER…OVER…OVER AGAIN! IS BS! MY GE PLUGGED RIGHT
IN AND IT DOES NOT EVEN HAVE “ANY” STUPID ICE BUTTONS!!!! YOU KNOW IF YOU
DON’T WANT ICE, U KNOW WHAT TO DO? DON’T INSTALL A WATER LINE FORREST’S
SISTER! ICE MACHINES ARE FUNDAMENTALLY THE SAME FOR THE PAST 40 YRS! NOTIN
CHANGED ON THEM, EXCEPT THE GENIUSES AT SAMSUNG! STAY WITH CRAPPY TV’S!

Thomas Horsley says:

My crushed ice feature won’t switch to cube. I have seen a picture of the
underside of the ice bucket and my chute is partially blocked with the
plastic flap. It won’t retract as it should for cubed. I tried to reset and
it doesn’t retract. Man have I battled this issue. It drips and makes a
mess, I don’t want crushed..

Doperno says:

My Samsung rs267tdrs has stopped making ice. I’ve checked everything and
reset the ice make.. all that does is make little tiny ice cubes 1 time if
any, then nothing happens. anything you can do to help? I’ve only had this
this thing for less than 2 years. Very disappointed.

Sandra Mate says:

This worked totally and easily for us!!!! Thank you!!!!!!

Juan42136 says:

I tried all three methods that she explained, but the “ice off” blue light
is still on. Any suggestions anyone??

David Wilson says:

We have a Samsung refrigerator and the icemaker freezes and stops making
ice. I have to turn the icemaker off, let it thaw, and then tap the reset
button. It’s happening frequently. The ice that we get is always very
wet. When we get ice from the icemaker, on the front door, there’s always
water that comes first. What’s wrong? Our refrigerator is 18 months old.

Tammy Watt says:

Hello Mr Samsung
my icemaker stopped working a few weeks ago and I noticed the filter light
came on purple so I replaced the filter inside the fridge hoping the ice
would start being made again. No it hasn’t and I have tried the reset
button a few times now. Also if I feel on top of the icemaker (Above the
reset button I can feel ice there. how do I get it to drop, once. I press
the reset button I can hear a noise (maybe a motor working) please help as
im getting frustrated. thanking you in advance for any help. .regards
Jason… the model number is srf639gdss

In addition, the fact that you have to post something on YouTube concerns
me. You should respond to the requests in your customer service
deparatment.

Just did it and you are sooo right you have to press it hard and right away
it started working, thanks for the tip!

Amy Y says:

I cannot remove the ice bucket to get to the switch. Mine sounds like the
motor is clicking trying to dispense ice, but no ice will come out. Any
ideas?

justice2576 says:

What happens if the trey does not fill with water?

Tousha West says:

this was a great help!!!

TheJ602 says:

wow i never knew i had an ice off function.

LoveOrigami5120 says:

There doesn’t seem to be a real button on the side. The front says it is a
Test Switch but there is no obvious raised button to push.

Sharon Crawford says:

When pressing the Test Button/Switch, you must press it HARD and hold it
until you hear the refrigerator chime (ding-dong). If you don’t hear the
chime, the ice maker has not reset.

74Lilly says:

I was pushing the the front edge of the button…push the back edge HARD.
Woo Woo I just heard ice fall :))))

bsjmaudlr0612 says:

Awesome, that solved it! 🙂

inertia8 says:

For older ice makers with the black button under the motor/gear
compartment, to get it to reset you may need to pull down the white “ice
level” arm until you have it’s microswitch “click”, then hold down the
reset button and you should see the motor twist the tray in either the
“empy” or “fill” direction. If it turns to the “empty” position and stops,
it may be necessary to release the “ice level” arm and hold down the reset
button until the motor untwists the tray back into the “fill” position”

Mark W Stevenson says:

Excellent help with a beautiful woman .

Jenna Larcon says:

I am very frustrated with the ice machine in the refrigerator. The
refrigerator I had before was 15 YEARS OLD and made 5 times the amount of
ice in a short period of time. In addition, it makes a VERY LOUD noise each
time the ice drops. It would be nice if someone from Samsung would reply to
my emails for customer service. Definately NOT HAPPY with this product.
Should have stuck with Kitchen Aid.

Devika Viyulie says:

i have the same problem !

HeroofSomething says:

She looks like she didn’t want to make that video.

afmikey100 says:

Wooot! Reset button fixed mine. Thanks Samsung!

Mc Swabin says:

The fact that there are a ton of ‘fix the ice maker’ videos on youtube for
a Samsung fridge says I’m not buying one.

kathleen danyluk says:

I have aSAMSUNG REF. IT HAS A ICON FOR A LOCK ON MY ICE MAKer and I don’t
